The monitoring unit uses an independent low voltage system to continually track:
When any of the four parameters move outside of set thresholds, GMS Service Engineers and imaging center personnel are automatically alerted to the problem. The system can store up to 26 contacts. Due to the four separate parameters being monitored, the Field Service Engineer can address the primary area of failure and quickly return the system to normal operation. Every ColdTRACSM is individually tested in the lab and in the field, and is equipped with a battery backup. Genesis Magnet Services has placed many units into service. One such monitor, installed on a High Field Open Magnet, has already prevented a potential magnet failure. Our service team was alerted and able to repair the problem before a magnet quench or helium loss occured. ColdTRACSM was specifically developed and designed to continually monitor parameters that would indicate a potential helium boil off problem. Unlike other monitoring systems, we created a monitoring service that alerts us to an initial first stage problem so that we can make repairs before any helium loss. That is what makes this monitor unique in the MRI service market. It is a proactive alert system as opposed to a reactive one.
